About Karissa
When I hired a doula coach, I grew as a doula, in my faith, and as a business owner—and that’s when my work became even more fulfilling! And now I want to do the same for other doulas!
When I started as a doula, I thought my job was to save women—to advocate, step in, and make birth better. I had no idea how deeply emotional and spiritual birth truly was. Over time, I learned that my role wasn’t to fix but to hold space, allowing women to trust their bodies and connect with God’s design for birth; if I didn’t learn this, I realized that I COULD BE THE INTERVENTION IN THEIR BIRTH!!
I also didn’t realize how essential business skills—like organization, messaging, and boundaries—were to create a practice that flows, attracts the right clients, and provides a sustainable income.
Now, after nearly 100 births in hospitals, birth centers, and homes, I’ve built a thriving, aligned practice. My goal with this mentoring session is to help a doula like you build your business without the stress, burnout, or hustle.
